Commissioned by New Art Gallery Walsall and Home of Metal, a social history project which looks at the origins of Heavy Metal in the Midlands. Exhibited as part of Alan Kane’s 4 Bed Detached Home of Metal, New Art Gallery Walsall, 22 June - 1 September 2019
The video essay performs a psychogeographical reading of the post-industrial town of Walsall, UK, drawing links between the town’s historic leather trade, local heavy metal pioneers Judas Priest and queer leather culture.
